quick post

Hello from Nanning!! Sorry for not a lot of updates. It's a bit crazy! We don't have the cord to upload photos from the camera to the tablet. Internet is crazy slow (lots o' filters). Our plan is to update as we can. I WILL post a picture of the FOUR of us when we can, but please be patient as I don't have my cord to transfer the images.
Prayer requests:
- josh's back is hurting more than we'd like.
- ryan's neck is hurting a bit too (causing headaches that are trying to be migraines).
- mary's behavior is a bit crazy. (We understand why. We get it. We know it will be for a while. It's just stressful for us because we are getting stared at nonstop, especially here in Nanning so we feel a bit on display).
- austin. He's been through MANY changes in the last few days. Pray for trust. Pray for his heart. Pray that we will konw what to do when we need to. We want him to know we are forever.
On that note, the news you've all been waiting for.......we will meet our son tomorrow at 3pm. That will be 2am (sunday night/monday morning) for east coasters!
Thank you! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

here we go!

Well, we're off!!

Or so we thought. Lol after packing all night long (literally; I finished packing everything down to the last document, turned off the light in my office and josh's wake up alarm went off! Lol). Oh well. At this point in the game my body is running off of adrenaline anyway.

So we leave for the airport at a crisp 3:45 am to catch our 6:20 flight. We get there, get all checked in, wait for boarding. We had 10 minutes left so I figured I'd take Mary to the bathroom one last time. Well as we were washing out hands, josh is calling for us to come on, that the plane was waiting on us. Well, that's what they told him, but they were waiting on others too. So we board, throw our bags in the overhead compartment, plop down, buckle up, and wait. And wait. And wait. Just as it looked like they were getting ready to give their instructions, the pilot grabbed the mic and explained that that plane was not leaving the ground. A broken part. And the backup piece was also broken. So we get our stuff, get off and wait in line. We have a new flight that we are catching at 11 to get us to our connecting flight in Chicago. That's the important one!!

Meanwhile Mary is passed out on the floor. Yes, I'm that mom today. And no I didn't sanitize the area (for those that know I'm a germophobe).

Let's hope this bit o' excitement isn't how the rest of our trip will be!!

I repeat...STAY CALM.

are you ready?

We'll be leaving in DAYS. DAYS.
Oh my word. It's here. It's time.

ok.
So this is what we need from you:
We need you to pray. We know you've been praying A LOT for our family. PLEASE DON'T STOP!
- please continue to pray for Austin as he prepares to meet us.
- please continue to pray for Mary as she prepares to be a big sister and adjust to life with a sibling.
- please continue to pray for us as this is a big change for us too!
- travel anxiety to washed away.
- Mary's first plane ride....over 24 hours of travel time is pretty rough for your first flight ever! lol
- travel mercies
- the last bit of funding.
and most importantly:

A PRAYER OF PRAISE TO GOD FOR ALL THAT HE HAS DONE! All glory to GOD!
